ADRIA FERRIES IS NOT STOPPING: WE ARE GUARANTEEING GOODS TRANSPORT AND PROTECTING THE HEALTH OF DRIVERS AND THE CREW
Despite the suspension of all passenger transport on the Italy to Albania line consequent upon the restrictive measures imposed by governments to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus, Adria Ferries has continued to guarantee continuity of goods traffic and the consequent supply of basic necessities, including medical supplies, to the countries where our lines operate.
In order to guarantee operation of the vessels while still protecting the health of our customers and the crew, Adria Ferries has adopted all precautionary measures suggested by the competent authorities on board its vessels, in this case:
- • frequent cleaning and disinfection of the vessels, with particularly focus on the common areas;
- • use by the crew of personal protective equipment, to safeguard their own and our customers’ health;
- • display of informational material on prevention measures (hand washing and social distancing);
- • installation of sanitising gel dispensers for use by all passengers;
- • optimisation of the areas inside the vessel to guarantee social distancing of customers and crew;
- • instructions provided by the crew on how to prevent risks and manage any cases of potential coronavirus symptoms.
Adria Ferries will continue to guarantee transport of goods traffic with Albania, complying with all directives of the government authorities to limit the spread of the pandemic. This is all possible thanks to the commitment of our crews, who are dealing every day with the difficulties involved in maintaining high standards of prevention.
