Tipicità in Blu 2019
Adria Ferries is the main sponsor of the Tipicità in Blu 2019 event: Ancona will be host to the sixth Tipicità in blu, the festival which brings together people and the sea, from 16 to 19 May.
The company’s central focus on respect for the sea and its lifeforms is a value shared by Tipicità in blu, the festival of the sea and the blue economy being held for the sixth time in Ancona, from 16 to 19 May.
Food, sailing, fishing, sport, tourism and culture come together in a program that perfectly reflects the spirit of this city located on the Adriatic Sea.
The Blu Village will be set up in the fish market and offer the opportunity to taste a whole range of seafood delicacies. Traditional fish and seafood recipes and contemporary reinterpretations of those recipes can be enjoyed with the wines of the Marche region and the products of agricultural biodiversity.
A painting on canvas contest and a musical performance using recycled plastic instruments will be held at the Marina Dorica, the city’s tourist harbour, to underline the balance between humankind and the sea. This will be followed by the now renowned Sailing Chef, a sailing regatta with a simultaneous cooking contest on board.
Mole Vanvitelliana will be home to a whole range of initiatives, with the participation of well-known personalities, including the “Giornate della nautica e della pesca” and also the Conero nel calice, the exhibition dedicated to the prestigious wines of the region.
As usual, the Arena del mare will be the departure point for the gourmet mini cruises to the enchanting bay of Portonovo, and also the backdrop to the re-enactment of the seafaring history of Ancona on Sunday.
All the bars and restaurants in the town centre are supporting the initiative and will be serving the Menù in blu and Aperiblu, offering a unique chance to taste the specialities of the Adriatic Sea in a whole range of delicious interpretations.
The program of the sixth Tipicità in blu also completes the multi-faceted panorama of the blue economy by introducing a strategic area, the water cluster, a sector of primary importance for the blue economy. Representatives from the various sectors of this authentic microcosm will be there to debate the issue.
Against this backdrop, Adria Ferries will be present with its stand at the Mole Vanvitelliana on Saturday, 18 May, and Sunday, 19 May, and, on the morning of Saturday, 18 May, will be hosting a stage of the press tour dedicated to the event on its ferry, the M/V AF MICHELA. A select group of journalists from leading tourism and food and wine publications will be there, together with several institutional representatives.
A symbol of excellence, Adria Ferries constantly guarantees the safety and protection of its passengers, facing new challenges without ever forgetting its roots and working to ensure that they enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience on board its ferries.
